Waterside Academy
A film about co-designing paddlesport with young people, schools, and waterways in Sefton.
01 / The problem
Mainstream education does not always reach young people who would benefit most from time outdoors and physical activity.
The partners needed to show how a co-designed paddlesport offer could become a sustainable part of school life, not a one-off intervention.
02 / Our approach
We filmed the programme as it grew, from early sessions on the water to staff leading their own activities.
The edit keeps young people, teachers, and waterways staff in the same frame, so the story belongs to everyone involved.
03 / The outcome
A film used to explain the model to schools, funders, and the national Let's campaign team.
The programme now has a visible record of what co-designed paddlesport looks like in practice.
“
It shows the change we are trying to make in a way a report never could.
